Alison’s work revolves around the people, places and in-between spaces that should be noticed. She received her Fine Art Diploma from Thompson Rivers University before moving on to pursue her degree in Photography at Emily Carr University in Vancouver, B.C. Moving back to Kamloops in 2008 to intern with photographer Tyler Meade, Alison's developing style merges elements of her Fine Art training with a digital age edge.
Using a variety of formats including medium format film, digital and Polaroid, Alison’s work is an experiment with light and color. She is well practiced in the techniques of traditional film processing and printing and draws inspiration from the history of photography as a documentary tool. Her love of everything Art inspires her to maintain a balance between her interests as an artist and her commissioned projects.
Currently, Alison lives in Kamloops, B.C and works at her family’s funeral home which she hopes to take over one day. She enjoys photography as a creative outlet and loves to share ideas with like-minded people, take on projects that will teach her something and make photos that reflect her candid approach to life.
Alison is available for weddings, events and other special gatherings that require a creative person with a camera.
